Charlie Hall’s New CD! The Bright Sadness

Got an email announcing Charlie Hall’s new studio recording entitled The Bright Sadness which comes out August 19th - can’t wait!

Charlie is probably one of my favorite artists. His music is great & lyrics are rich. He headed up the worship ministries at Bridgeway when we were in OKC a few years back and would lead about once a month (when he wasn’t on tour).

If anyone finds a place to preview the music, let me know. I haven’t found much else about it other than the splash page that greets you at charliehall.com.

It’s hard for me to pick, but I’d say that “Rising Shout” from On the Road to Beautiful is my favorite Charlie Hall song.

What Are Thin Places?

"Thin Places" are rich in Celtic tradition. They are the places in our lives where the divine and the natural worlds come so close together that we can catch a glimpse of God. For the Celtics these places were very real - places within creation where we could physically go. The Thin Places in our own lives are those moments where the space between us & the Kingdom is thin, when we are introduced to a greater glimpse of Who He is through our experiences and through the stories of others.
