Holding Firmly With a Loose Grip

And thus ends another long week. Not ‘long’ as in bad, but ‘long’ as in… well, long. I’ve blogged less, Twittered fewer times, and worked at a more frenzied pace than I probably have in a long while. And it was good.
When I got to Atlanta in January of this year (can’t believe it has been nearly eight months now) I had an idea in my mind of where things were and where things needed to be in relation to my new work at GiANT Impact. Things were a little more disconnected than I had thought (technology wise) and there have been a few pauses in the progress of what we’re doing online. But, all in all, I like where we’re at and we’re almost where I thought we’d be by this time.
This has been a good week because I’m beginning to ‘see the light,‘ so to speak, of the goals I set for myself some eight months ago. That’s exciting to me because it means that we’re more efficient and nimble in what we’re doing online across all the brands - Maximum Impact, INJOY, and Catalyst. I’m also excited because it means that some of the greater things that I see as opportunities moving forward have a much clearer path set for them.
So, here I stand, feeling good about what I’ve been able to accomplish, but keenly aware of the uncertainty of what lies ahead. No matter how great the plans are that I make, I know that the Wind that blows (where it will) is capable of shifting the course before me at any time. So I hold firm with a loose grip and eagerly anticipate the adventure.

What Are Thin Places?
"Thin Places" are rich in Celtic tradition. They are the places in our lives where the divine and the natural worlds come so close together that we can catch a glimpse of God. For the Celtics these places were very real - places within creation where we could physically go. The Thin Places in our own lives are those moments where the space between us & the Kingdom is thin, when we are introduced to a greater glimpse of Who He is through our experiences and through the stories of others.
