Holding Firmly With a Loose Grip

And thus ends another long week. Not ‘long’ as in bad, but ‘long’ as in… well, long. I’ve blogged less, Twittered fewer times, and worked at a more frenzied pace than I probably have in a long while. And it was good.

When I got to Atlanta in January of this year (can’t believe it has been nearly eight months now) I had an idea in my mind of where things were and where things needed to be in relation to my new work at GiANT Impact. Things were a little more disconnected than I had thought (technology wise) and there have been a few pauses in the progress of what we’re doing online. But, all in all, I like where we’re at and we’re almost where I thought we’d be by this time.

This has been a good week because I’m beginning to ‘see the light,’ so to speak, of the goals I set for myself some eight months ago. That’s exciting to me because it means that we’re more efficient and nimble in what we’re doing online across all the brands - Maximum Impact, INJOY, and Catalyst. I’m also excited because it means that some of the greater things that I see as opportunities moving forward have a much clearer path set for them.

So, here I stand, feeling good about what I’ve been able to accomplish, but keenly aware of the uncertainty of what lies ahead. No matter how great the plans are that I make, I know that the Wind that blows (where it will) is capable of shifting the course before me at any time. So I hold firm with a loose grip and eagerly anticipate the adventure.
