New Music Wednesday
Grabbed a great song today that I’ve thought about getting for awhile. “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae. Great song that’s just a fun one to listen to.
Of note was the fact that I was prompted to buy it because it came up on my Jack Johnson Radio feed on Pandora this afternoon. Does that make me a good case study for the free music movement - people who say the more you give music away the more music you sell? Not sure. I know that there are a lot of people who still get their music for free - albeit the record companies aren’t actually giving those copies away :-)
Here’s my latest buys (singles and full albums):
- “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae
- The Hard Way by James Hunter (my anniversary gift)
- ABBA - Gold - Greatest Hits by ABBA (Andrea’s anniversary gift)
- “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield
- Rockferry by Duffy
- People Gonna Talk by James Hunter
- “Cha Cha Slide” by Mr. C (that ones for the kids… really…)
- “What About Now (Idol Gives Back Performance)” by Daughtry
- “How You Live (Turn Up the Music)” by Point of Grace
What about you? What songs/albums have you bought lately?

What Are Thin Places?
"Thin Places" are rich in Celtic tradition. They are the places in our lives where the divine and the natural worlds come so close together that we can catch a glimpse of God. For the Celtics these places were very real - places within creation where we could physically go. The Thin Places in our own lives are those moments where the space between us & the Kingdom is thin, when we are introduced to a greater glimpse of Who He is through our experiences and through the stories of others.
