A few weeks back I spotlighted some personal blogs that I follow. I’d encourage you to check out the first five that I talked about in that previous post. Here are the next five. Once again these are all people I know personally - enjoy!
1. Grant English
Grant & I go back a long ways - back to the days when we were both youth pastors in Kansas. We served together on a statewide team that helped with some of the state student camps & events that took place in Kansas & Nebraska. We’ve been friends ever since. Grant is a great guy, a gifted writer with a nice wit, and a godly guy helping students & adults in Colorado learn what following Jesus looks like.

2. Jason Hayes
I met Jason while on the Threads team at LifeWay in Nashville. He is the Young Adult Ministry Specialist at LifeWay - a fancy title that basically means - “He gets it” when it comes to helping churches reach young adults… and he loves helping other people get it, too. A great guy & a gifted communicator. He’s getting ready to celebrate the launch of his first book, co-authored with Ed Stetzer and Richie Stanley, called Lost and Found: The Younger Unchurched and The Churches That Reach Them. You can get your first glimpse at the Catalyst Conference coming in a little under a month.

3. Jeremie Kubicek
I’ve known Jeremie for 13 years. My wife has known him since third grade. She wins. :-) She & Jeremie were good friends growing up. I’ve been blessed getting to know him over the course of our marriage. It seems like our interactions & friendship gradually increased over the years, to the point where I now get to work with him on a daily basis at GiANT Impact, where he is CEO. He’s been writing for years, but we only recently launched GiANT Perspectives, his blog, a few months ago. Great resource for heart-based leadership.

4. Michael Kelley
Michael Kelley is just an all-around great guy. I had the privilege of getting to know him as a part of the Threads team at LifeWay. He is an Editor for Threads, but is also one of their authors - having written two studies now entitled “The Tough Sayings of Jesus” & “The Tough Sayings of Jesus II” (great studies!). He is a great communicator and a talented writer. You can not only follow him on his blog, you can also catch him at select speaking engagements - I’d highly recommend hearing him if you get the chance.

5. Sabrina Joseph
I met Sabrina this summer when she came to work as a part of the new Catalyst interns team (“Triple Threat” as they’re known around the offices). It’s been fun seeing the excitement level spike at the offices (which is hard to believe for the Catalyst offices) when the team arrived. They quickly became an intregal part of the Catlyst movement. Sabrina has great thoughts & a fresh perspective on life & faith.

What Are Thin Places?
"Thin Places" are rich in Celtic tradition. They are the places in our lives where the divine and the natural worlds come so close together that we can catch a glimpse of God. For the Celtics these places were very real - places within creation where we could physically go. The Thin Places in our own lives are those moments where the space between us & the Kingdom is thin, when we are introduced to a greater glimpse of Who He is through our experiences and through the stories of others.
