Sites I Follow: Web Design
Need a Cliff Notes version?
If you'd like a filtered view of things I've found useful from these sites & others, you can subscribe to my Google Reader Shared Items.
This morning I spent some time catching up with the roughly 60 sites I follow. Thanks to Google Reader it isn’t an overly daunting task - definitely manageable, if I check them on a fairly regular basis. If you have never tried an RSS reader, I’d highly recommend it. I have people comment to me all the time asking how I keep up with what’s new, as I like to pass along articles & nuggets I find from time to time. Google Reader is the secret sauce.
If you want a good step-by-step primer on using Google Reader, check out this post I did several months ago - “Web Tools I Use: Google Reader”
Thought I’d pass along the link love each week & share some sites that I follow on a pretty regular basis. I know some people have a “Friday is for Friends” day - perhaps this can be a “Saturday is for Sites” thing.
This week I wanted to spotlight five sites that I follow for web design articles & new techniques. Enjoy!
1. Vitamin

Vitamin is a top-notch site devoted to resource & tutorials on web design & development. It features contributions from some of the top designers out there, as well as interviews & reviews of design books & resources.

What Are Thin Places?
"Thin Places" are rich in Celtic tradition. They are the places in our lives where the divine and the natural worlds come so close together that we can catch a glimpse of God. For the Celtics these places were very real - places within creation where we could physically go. The Thin Places in our own lives are those moments where the space between us & the Kingdom is thin, when we are introduced to a greater glimpse of Who He is through our experiences and through the stories of others.
