There Are Zero Neutral Words

What impact do your words have on others?
I’m not talking about some ‘slip of the tongue’ or a ‘few choice words.’ I’m talking all of them - every single last word that comes out of your mouth.
This past weekend at Browns Bridge, Tyler Reagin talked about the concept that, “There are zero neutral words.” That is, everything that we say has impact in the lives of others - either positively, or negatively.
“Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.” - Proverbs 13:3
Our words either help to preserve our life/others, or help to ruin them.
Take time today to watch what you say and pay attention to the impact it is having on those around you.
You can watch/listen to Tyler’s talk on the Browns Bridge website. Look for the “Solomon Says” series (it’s entitled “Just Kidding” and is from July 26, 2009).

What Are Thin Places?
"Thin Places" are rich in Celtic tradition. They are the places in our lives where the divine and the natural worlds come so close together that we can catch a glimpse of God. For the Celtics these places were very real - places within creation where we could physically go. The Thin Places in our own lives are those moments where the space between us & the Kingdom is thin, when we are introduced to a greater glimpse of Who He is through our experiences and through the stories of others.
