What My World Looks Like Right Now

Thought I’d give you a glimpse into my current rhythm. While things can change from time to time, here is what my typical day/week looks like…
5:40 am - Wake
5:40 - 6:40 am - Breakfast/Reading/Writing
6:40 - 7:00 am - Wake the kids; help get them breakfast/starting morning chores
7:00 - 7:30 am - Get ready for work
7:40 am - Take kids to school; head to GiANT
8:10 - 5:00 pm - Work
5:00 pm - Head home for the evening
5:30 - 6:00 pm - Change clothes; talk with kids about their day
6:00 pm - Dinner
6:30 - 8:00 pm - Spend time with the fam; catch-up on email/web browsing
8:30 pm - Read to the boys (currently The Fellowship of the Ring)
9:00 pm - Work-out
9:40 pm - Shower; get ready for bed
10:00 - 10:30 pm - Bed time
A few notes:
- Morning Time - This is my personal time each day. It usually consists of 70% reading (currently The Hole In Our Gospel by Richard Stearns), and 30% writing. Depending on the day, those percentages vary, to the point that some days I’ll read the entire time and others I’ll write.
- Evenings - Because of the kids’ schedules, this will look different throughout the week. Josiah has drum lessons on Monday late afternoons, so right now I pick him up and head out to spend a couple of hours together discussing Integrity (Dr. Henry Cloud) or life in general over dinner. Micah and I have monthly nights we head to the Lego store and then to dinner. Wednesday nights I give piano lessons to the kids (Emerie just started).
- Weekends - My weekends are far less structured (not sure if that’s a good thing or not :-) ). I sleep in on Saturdays as it is the only day I can have a lazy start to. Days are filled with a mixture of projects, hanging out/going out with the fam, resting/relaxing, etc.
How about you? What does your typical day/week look like?

Here is my (somewhat unconventional) life in college!
7:00am - 8:00am: (try to) wake up, clean up a little and drive to school.
8:00am - 9:30am: enjoy the beautiful morning and scenery of the campus with a good cup of joe. Maybe even study a little bit (study study schools your buddy!)
9:30am - 11:15am: cram my little brain full of Corporate Finance
11:15am - 11:45am: enjoy the weather more and reflect on how difficult Finance is! haha.
11:45am - 1:30pm: cram my little brain even more full of Business Law
1:30pm - 5:00pm: Internship at Sweetbriar recording studios… cram my little brain full of signal flow and audio processing!
5:00pm - 2:00am: spend all night in the Belmont recording studios tracking and mixing bands… getting hands on experience
2:00am - 4:00am: study for school and spend time thinking of all the new-found knowledge that I have learned!
4:00am - 7:00am: take a nap. (hopefully). :]
All in all… my brain hurts! Ha ha!

What Are Thin Places?
"Thin Places" are rich in Celtic tradition. They are the places in our lives where the divine and the natural worlds come so close together that we can catch a glimpse of God. For the Celtics these places were very real - places within creation where we could physically go. The Thin Places in our own lives are those moments where the space between us & the Kingdom is thin, when we are introduced to a greater glimpse of Who He is through our experiences and through the stories of others.
